Kay Dooley

Loreauville – Funeral services will be conducted for Kay Bonin Dooley, 73, at
1:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Onugebe officiating. Burial will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 8:00 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Dooley passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, at 5:05 PM at Lafayette General Hospital.

She was a retired Secretary with Breaux Brothers in Loreauville where she was employed for many years. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic Church, was a Catechism Teacher and participated in the Adoration Chapel for many years. She loved Scrapbooking with family pictures. She was a “Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother” and known to her grandchildren as KK, she will be missed dearly.

She also enjoyed learning about the history of Loreauville and working on the Loreauville Scrapbook.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Terry W. Dooley of Loreauville; her daughter, Suzy Duplantis and her husband Danny of St. Martinville; her son, Gannon Dooley and his wife Claire; her brother, Reynold Bonin all of Loreauville and her grandchildren, Coy and Neely Duplantis both of St. Martinville, Aidan and Trevor Dooley both of Loreauville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ceasor and Evelyn Breaux Bonin.

Pallbearers will be Danny Duplantis, Coy Duplantis, Aidan Dooley, Trevor Dooley, Chris Derouen and Danny Dooley.

Honorary pallbearer will be Cory Dauterive.
