Lawrence Joseph Leblanc

St. Martinville – Funeral services will be conducted for Lawrence Joseph LeBlanc, 74, at
10:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2017, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home in New Iberia on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home by the Men’s Rosary Group on Thursday at 7:00 PM.

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. LeBlanc passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 11:12 AM at his residence.

He was a butcher at Joyce’s Supermarket for 44 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, animals and cooking. He processed deer for 20 plus years. He loved to cook for his family so he could bring them together. He had a big heart caring for his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann LeBlanc Moore; his son, Douglas James LeBlanc and his wife Cindy; his son-in-law, Telly J. Romero all of New Iberia; his brother, Milton LeBlanc and his wife Barbara of Lafayette; his sisters, Annabelle Seaux of Lafayette and Kathleen DeVillier and her husband Allen of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Douglas “Tee Doug” Lopez and Aaiken Dugan Moore; his step-grandchildren, Amanda Bourque, Daniel Bourque, Jr. and Felicia Bourque; his great grandchildren, Madison Lopez and Laiken Lopez and his step-great grandchildren, Jai Thibodeaux, Joselyn Bourque and John Bourque.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Manilla Laviolette LeBlanc; his parents, Antoine and Ann Barras LeBlanc; his son, Larry Joseph LeBlanc; his daughter, Florence “Flo” LeBlanc Romero and son-in-law, Charles R. Moore.

Pallbearers will be Douglas LeBlanc, Douglas “Tee Doug” Lopez, Billy Bouton, Scotty LeBlanc, Allen Paul DeVillier, Dwayne Dupuis and Jimmie Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaiken Dugan Moore, Wayne Racca and Chuck LeBlanc.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Bridgeway Hospice and family and friends.
