Rocky Bayne Blanchard

New Iberia--Rocky Bayne Blanchard, 39, of New Iberia, La, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, November, 4 at 7:00 pm at his home.

A celebration of Rocky's life will be held Friday, November 10, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Highland Baptist Church located at 607 Victory Drive in New Iberia with Rev. David Denton officiating.

Rocky was born on March 3, 1978, to Nathan and Ora Faye Roberts Blanchard. He graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in 1996 then went on to excel in his career as a welder/fitter for the last 20 years. Rocky was an extremely talented drummer and guitarist and enjoyed playing music with his family and friends.

Rocky was a son who was loved unconditionally by his mom and dad; a little brother who was deeply loved by his big brother and sister; and an uncle who was adored by his 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
Rocky had a laissez-faire attitude that was appreciated by all who loved him. He lived his life unapologetically, fearlessly, and earnestly.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his devoted mother, Ora Faye Blanchard, his brother, Stoney Blanchard and his wife Kimberly of Broussard, his sister, Tanya Blanchard Poche' and her husband William of New Iberia; nieces, Haylee Poche', and McKenzie Blanchard; nephews, Quentin Blanchard, Hayden Poche and Heath Poche'; uncles, Tommy Roberts and wife Barbara, Harold Dubois, Jerry Blanchard and his wife Rosalie and aunt, Coleen Ritter and her husband Randy, Magda Sonnier and her husband Carl and numerous cousins.

Rocky was preceded in death by his father; Nathan Louis Blanchard, maternal grandparents, K.B. and Ora Lee Broussard Roberts, paternal grandparents Louis and Mildred Sandoz Blanchard; aunts; Martelle Broussard and her son, Todd Broussard, and Barbara Ann Blanchard Dubois.
