Linda Anne Erickson, 68, beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on October 15, 2017.
Linda was born on July 29, 1949 to parents Sam and Georgie Boutte. She started life as one of four close siblings in a rural Louisiana community and took that love of family with her around the world, embracing life to the fullest. She brought fierce competition to her early jobs, securing her role as top salesperson for anything she was selling. She owned her own successful kitchen and bath design firm in Los Angeles, CA. She embraced running a local restaurant in Guanacaste, Costa Rica with the love of her life, late husband Sidney Erickson. She traveled internationally, spending time in Brazil, Singapore, Thailand, and most recently Germany and Spain. But above all her personal achievements, she loved opening her arms to entertain her friends and family with lavish dinners and tall tales. She will be remembered by everyone who experienced first-hand her passion and excitement for life.
She is survived by her mother, Georgie Boutte; daughter, Brooke Begnaud and partner, Lori; brothers, Russell Boutte and wife, Sherry, Kenneth Boutte and wife, Janice, and Rick Boutte and wife, Nancy; five nieces and nephews; ten grand-nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets: amazon parrot, Billy Bob and feisty cat, Jazzee Bell.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 10:00 a.m., at David Funeral home in New Iberia.
