John Mabry Broussard

LAFAYETTE-Celebration of Life Services for John Mabry Broussard,87, will be 3:00PM to 7:00PM Saturday December 9, 2017 in David Funeral Home of Lafayette.

Mabry, a native of LeRoy and lifelong resident of Youngsville, passed away Wednesday December 6, 2017 in his residence. He was a loving father and grandfather. He worked for Steen Syrup for 13 years, did carpenter work for 29 years, and was also a sharecropper. He loved being in his shop building things for his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by one son, Jules Broussard and wife Roxanne of Erath, two daughters, Carolyn Romero and husband Ricky, Azalie Broussard McClinton and husband Rusty all of Youngsville, seven grandchildren, Katie and Bryan Broussard of Erath, Rita Behr, Allen Hudson, of Youngsville, and April Hudson of Jeanerette, Ashley Racca and Ray “Popcorn” Broussard both of Youngsville, Nic McClinton , Cory McClinton, and Ashley McClinton, and sixteen great grandchildren

He is preceded in death by his parents Jules and Azalie Schexnayder Broussard, two sisters Noila Broussard and Beulah Richard, three brothers Ellis Broussard, Eldes Broussard, and Jowood Broussard, a granddaughter Anna Belle Duplein and a great granddaughter Brooke Belle Bergeron
