Hilliard Anthony Thibodeaux

Hilliard Thibodeaux, who resided in Youngsville LA died on Thursday February 1, 2018 at his home surrounded by his children. He was 95 years of age. Hilliard was born on August 26, 1922 in Crowley LA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM in David Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday February 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of services. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens

Mr. Thibodeaux met and married his first wife Dorothy and they had three children Doris, Jim, and Marjorie. He moved to California where he met and married Irene who had five children.

He served as a Staff Sergeant in WWII in Germany, he was a member of the American Legion for over 70 years, he also had a love softball and played on the K/C fast pitch team, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his three children Doris and her friend Daniel, Jim and his wife Shelia, and Marjorie and her husband David; five step children Larry, Wayne, Sue, Jan and Pam, children of Irene; eight grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren; his brother Tommy and his wife Brenda Thibodeaux; and his sister Mildred Miguez.

Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his parents John Dugas Thibodeaux, and Edoris Mire Thibodeaux Hoffpauir; three brothers; his sister; and son-in-law Glen Suir; grandson Jerry Mensman ; and infant granddaughter Alicia Suir. He was also preceded in death by his wife Irene Thibodeaux, and the mother of his children Dorothy Thibodeaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Mensman, Tommy Thibodeaux, Brock Thibodeaux, Clyde Doucet, Roland “Poly” Rue and Edwin Horn. Honorary pallbearer will be C.J. Doucet.

The family would like to thank NSI Hospice and Palliative Care for all of their help especially Serena, Jackie, Shannon, and Rosalyn.
