Mary Ann Provost

Loreauville – Funeral services will be conducted for Mary Ann Spiess Provost, 77, on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Onugebe officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 4, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A rosary will be prayed by the Men’s Rosary Group in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 PM.

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Provost passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018, at 9:14 AM in a Lafayette hospital.

She was a retired Teacher’s Aide with the Iberia Parish School System. She had a strong faith in her church and God. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a Lay Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, pets and birds.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clark Provost of Loreauville; her sons, Kevin Provost and his wife Caline and Brian Provost and his wife Colette all of Loreauville; her brother, Michael Spiess and his wife Cheryl of West Virginia; her sister, Alice Rosen of Covington; her grandchildren, Joelle Charpentier and her husband Dane of Broussard, Trey Provost of Lafayette, Randi Provost and Jordy Provost both of Loreauville and her great grandchildren, Quinn Charpentier and Mia Rose Charpentier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herle and Maude Walet Speiss and her son, David Provost.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Provost, Brian Provost, Trey Provost, Jordy Provost, Dane Charpentier and Donald Solar, Jr.
