New Iberia—A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Daniel “Pop” Hebert on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 1303 St. Jude Ave with Fr. Mark Derise as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery located at 2807 Curtis Lane.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of service at David Funeral Home of New Iberia located at 1101 Trotter Street. There will be a recitation for the Holy Rosary by the Men’s Rosary Group on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Daniel “Pop” Hebert passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 12:23 PM at Iberia Manor North Nursing Home surrounded by his family.
“Pop” enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting rabbits, any type of fishing. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and his friends. He liked going to the casino with his wife Corinne.
Daniel was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3425 and achieved his 3rd-degree knighthood with the organization. He also served in the Louisiana National Guard for 4 years as in the infantry and achieved the rank of Sergeant.

Daniel is survived by his children; Kenny Hebert and wife Shari, Randy Hebert and wife Sandra; David Hebert and wife Roxanne and Tessi Uhall and her husband Mike, sister; Nancy Hebert, grandchildren; Hannah Hebert and fiancé Daniel Bodkin, D. J. Hebert and wife Missy, Katie Brodnax and husband James, Lacey Patin and husband Beau, Janie Foco and husband Brennan, Kari Mann and husband Joseph Mann V and Josh Hebert, great grandchildren; Ethan Prince, Avery Prince, Ella Prince, Liam Hebert, Madison Hebert, Kennedi Doumit, Colt Foco, Beau Patin, Jr., Jocelyn Patin, Mason Brodnax and Kyla Brodnax.
Mr. Hebert was preceded in death by his spouse Corinne Bonin Hebert, his son, Daniel Bernard; parents, Lewis and Eula Badeaux Hebert and one great-grandson Wes Luke Foco.
