Evelyn Rose Hebert Romero

Youngsville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Rose Hebert Romero, 83, will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 1:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 8:00AM until the time of the service.

A native and resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Romero died at 12:45AM on Friday, March 23, 2018 surrounded by her family at Magnolia Estates. Mrs. Evelyn enjoyed being with her family especially cooking for them. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three sons, Keith James Romero and his wife Mathilde of Youngsville, Hal Simon Romero and his wife Stephanie of Youngsville, and Ryan Paul Romero and his wife Mary of Youngsville; a daughter, Rhonda Romero Goodland and her husband Chris of Lafayette; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Herman Romero; her parents, Renol and Anna Hebert; a daughter, Sandra Ann Romero; five brothers, Howard Hebert, Preston Hebert, Presley Hebert, Whyless Hebert, and Sexton Hebert; and one sister, Mable Sonnier.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Crochet, P. T. Tran, Kyle Romero, Chris Goodland, Christopher Goodland, and Michael Delahoussaye.
