LAFAYETTE- Funeral Services for Liefy J. Romero, 81, will be 11:00AM Friday April 6, 2018 in David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anne Mausoleum in Youngsville.

Visitation will be in David Funeral Home of Lafayette Thursday April 5, 2018 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Friday from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Youngsville and a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Liefy passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday April 4, 2018. He worked many years for Vetco Gray retiring in 1986. He spent his time with family and friends and most enjoyed camping, including monthly camping trips to Ken’s with the Bayou Carlin Sam’s Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Thomas Romero, three daughters, Tammy Duhon, Melanie Falgout and husband Shane, Angela Grossie and husband Mike, one son Lee Romero and wife Mona, a brother Paul Romero and wife Susie, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ophie and Leonie Broussard Romero and two brothers, Frank “Bee” Romero and Raoul “T Shu” Romero.

Upholding the honor on serving as his Pallbearers will be Paul Romero, Jimmy Vincent, Jeremy Romero, Nick Romero, Steven Grossie, and Ryan Romero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Francis Porrier and Ken Reaux.
