Loifey Benoit Maturin

LAFAYETTE-A Mass of Christian Burial for Loifey B. Maturin,83, will be 10:00AM Friday April 27, 2018 in St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jason Mouton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anne Mausoleum.

Visitation will be in David Funeral Home of Lafayette Thursday April 26, 2018 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM, and will resume Friday from 8:00AM until service time.

Loifey, born in Vermilion Parish, and a resident of Youngsville, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2018 in his residence. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchild, his great grandchildren, and helping the children of Green T. Lindon Elementary School cross the street safely for 21 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Ann B. Maturin; his daughters, Darlene Domingue, and Jessica Mouton; brothers, Newby Maturin and wife Rose, and Nolan Maturin, Sr.; sisters, Velma Nero and husband Lee, Vesta Benton and husband Clay, Jeanette Boudreaux and husband Bill, and Marie Sonnier and husband Doug; a grandchild Maegan Duhon and husband Nicholas; three great grandchildren, Aubrie, Catherine, and John.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Eva Romero Maturin.

Serving as his Pallbearers will be Macy Broussard, Kim Mouton, Nick Duhon. “Lil” Doug Sonnier, John Bourque, Jr. and Nolan Maturin Jr.
