William "Bill" Hebert

Lafayette - Funeral Services for William “Bill” Hebert, 62, will be 3:00PM Tuesday May 1, 2018 in David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Father Ed Deguyter officiating. Interment will be in St. Anne Mausoleum at a later date.

Visitation will be in David Funeral Home of Lafayette Monday April 30, 2018 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time.

Bill, born in Abbeville, and a resident of Broussard, passed away Saturday April 28, 2018 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette. He was an avid sac-a-lait fisherman, and he enjoyed playing pool. He enjoyed sports of all types, but above all else, it was his grandchildren who were his world and meant the most.

He is survived by his daughter Danielle Stutes and son-in-law Matt; his father Pierre Vergie Hebert; his mother Joan V. Hebert; his companion Clara Girard who took very good care of him throughout his battle with cancer; his siblings Mark A. Hebert (Melinda), Rose Stoute (Chris), and Robin Broussard (Ponookie La Croix), grandchildren Taylor Stutes and Colin Stutes; his godfather A.C. Vincent; his godchild Jude Hidalgo; his granddog Ally and numerous other family members.

He is preceded in death by his brother David “Doc” Hebert; a godchild Corey Hebert; paternal grandparents Altha and Elus P. Hebert; maternal grandparents Cyrus Sr. and Rose Aimie Vincent; step grandmother Ethelie B. Vincent.
