A resident of Jeanerette, Louisiana Marine died on Saturday, April 28,
Marine worked for many years at First National Bank in Jeanerette, Louisiana where she held the esteemed honor of being the first female vice-president. She was very active in many civic organizations throughout her career in banking. Marine volunteered regularly at St. Joseph School. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Evangelist Church in Jeanerette and brought communion regularly to residents at Maison Teche Nursing home and to local
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Harrington and her husband, David; granddaughter, Stephanie Mitchell and her husband, Daniel; two grandsons, Joshua Harrington and his wife, Elizabeth, and Alexander “Max” Harrington. She is also survived by her two great-granddaughters, Genevieve “Vivi” Mitchell and Emily Rose Mitchell and her two great-grandsons, Zachary Harrington and Lucas Harrington. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Broussard and Adolcina Trosclaire Broussard, her brother, Joseph Oswald Broussard and her sisters, Carrie Degetaire and Ruby Broussard.
Pallbearers will be David Harrington, Joshua Harrington, Alexander Harrington, Zachary Harrington, Lucas Harrington and her nephew, Gene Broussard, Sr.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to her caregiver, Amparo Breaux, to Dr. Gene Callais and his staff and to the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. A special thanks to her friends who helped care for her in recent years, Sheila Clements, Peggy Rogers, Pat Telotta and Sam Wise.
