Barbara L. Begnaud

New Iberia – Funeral Services for Barbara L. Begnaud, 81, will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel, 1101 Trotter Street with Father Charles Langlois as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Broussard Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2017 from 8:00 AM until time of service at David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street.

She was a native and resident of New Iberia and worked as a Sales Clerk at the Speciality Store in New Iberia.

She is survived by two brothers; Raymond Labit and wife Harriet of Lafayette, Joseph “Floyd” Labit of Houston and Renice Labit and wife Anna of New Iberia; four sisters, Velma Laviolette of New Iberia, Ruth Hebert and husband Neil of New Iberia, Elsie Smith and husband Samuel of Scott and Cynthia Labit of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elus Labit and Odette LeBlanc Labit; husband of 20 years, Lester Begnaud; brother, Kim Labit; brother-in-law, Gerald Laviolette; sister-in-law, Lorraine Labit.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the nursing home and staff of Consolate Nursing for their excellent care which was given to Barbara.
